ALPACA WALKING EXPERIENCE
90 minutes
If you want to get more hands-on with alpacas we recommend adding a walk onto your experience. An alpaca walk is a unique and delightful experience that allows you to get up close and personal with these charming creatures. After a short health and safety talk, you'll be partnered up with your new alpaca and take a stroll through our farm, all while leading your very own furry friend by the halter. It's a perfect activity for animal lovers, families, and anyone seeking a dose of peace and quiet in the great outdoors with plenty of time for pictures and alpaca selfies! You'll also get an opportunity to see the rest of our alpacas in their natural environment and depending on the time of year may get to see this year's baby alpacas (crias).

Here are some tips for a successful alpaca walk:
Dress practically and appropriately for the weather and outdoor conditions. The paddocks can get wet and muddy so please ensure you have suitable closed-toe footwear that you don't mind getting dirty - wellies would be the best option.
Be gentle and patient with the alpacas. They are sensitive creatures and may startle easily.
Let the alpaca lead the way. Don't pull on the halter, as this can make them nervous.
Speak softly and avoid loud noises and sudden movements.
If you bring children, make sure they understand how to behave around animals.
