ALPACA WALK EXPERIENCE
(Suitable for ages 10 and over)
90 minutes
Want even more time with our alpacas? Extend your adventure with our Alpaca Walk Experience!
This upgrade includes everything in our Meet & Mingle experience, plus extra one-on-one time with these charming creatures.
Your experience begins with a short health and safety briefing, followed by introductions to our boys and girls. You'll learn fascinating facts, and perhaps even get the chance to hand-feed them. After you've spent time interacting and getting to know the herd, you'll be partnered with one of our male alpacas to enjoy a guided, leisurely walk through our farm, leading your new furry companion by the halter.
An alpaca walk is a truly unique and delightful activity—ideal for animal lovers, families, and anyone seeking a peaceful escape outdoors, complete with ample opportunities for pictures and alpaca selfies!
The walking portion lasts approximately 45 minutes, with the remaining time dedicated to getting up close and personal with the rest of our herd and providing a great opportunity for hands-on interaction in their natural environment.
Depending on your visit's timing, you might even meet this year's adorable baby alpacas (known as cria)! We're expecting nine new arrivals from late May through early August.
Please note this experience is suitable for families with children aged 10 and over. Each child must be accompanied by an adult.

Here are some tips for a successful alpaca walk:
Dress practically and appropriately for the weather and outdoor conditions. The paddocks can get wet and muddy so please ensure you have suitable closed-toe footwear that you don't mind getting dirty - wellies would be the best option.
Be gentle and patient with the alpacas. They are sensitive creatures and may startle easily.
Let the alpaca lead the way. Don't pull on the halter, as this can make them nervous.
Speak softly and avoid loud noises and sudden movements.
If you bring children, make sure they understand how to behave around animals.
